In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our guests by serving food and beverages, taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
Your primary responsibility will be to wait on tables and attend to customers' needs, while also handling cashier duties efficiently.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with traditional Mexican dishes is preferred
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests, escorting them to their tables, and provide them with menus.
Assist customers in making menu selections and answering any questions they may have about the food and beverages.
Take accurate food and drink orders from customers and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs or requests.
Process customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and digital transactions, using a POS (Point of Sale) system accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including counting cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
Provide accurate change to customers and issue receipts as needed.
Assist with cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests, including removing dishes and utensils.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the restaurant.
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
Uphold a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a waitress and cashier is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various customer personalities with patience and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Familiarity with using a POS system or willingness to learn.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry food trays for extended periods.
A positive attitude and a team player mentality.
