o Real Estate & Workplaceo Facilities Management & Maintenanceo Engineering & Construction Managemento Energy & Environmentalo Technology Integrationo Sustainability & Smart Buildingso Human Capitalo Mission Support Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Area Facilities Operations Specialist in El Monte, CA or Encino, CAThe Area Facilities Operations Specialist shall assist customer with the execution and implementation of a multi-faceted, comprehensive environmental base operations and sustainment program to ensure the buildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained to meet the functional, appearance, safety, security, and environmental standardsResponsibilities/Dutieso Weekly facility inspections and checklists.
o Perform assessments to identify, document and recommend additional facility maintenance requirements.
o Identify, document, and report all physical building deficiencies, followed by a recommendation for repair.
o Assist the customer with design reviews on major/minor construction, renovation, and repair projects.
o Document, advise and inform customer and tenants on matters pertaining to their site (e.
g.
, improper use of the property, unit housekeeping problems, pending repairs and upcoming construction projects)o Assist the Government in tracking project status, performing inspections, providing documentation, and verifying completion of projects or work orders.
o Monitor physical and functional condition of building systems.
o Identify and report deficiencies.
o Initiation of Work Order requests and criteria/objectives for maintenance and repair, input into CSS.
o Planning, coordination and quality assurance requirements and specifications for service contract support of facility repairs.
o Coordinate and participate in occupational health and safety inspections.
o Prepare, review and submit energy efficiency and sustainable practices/recommendations.
o Promote energy conservation and awareness.
o Assist customer in implementing corrective actions, repair, and maintenance.
o Maintain environmental compliance.
o Monitoring and inspect life safety, physical security and fire prevention requirementsAddress deficiencies if required.
o Documentation, Checklists, and Reports.
o Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem-solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

o Experience conducting building inspections/facility condition assessments.

o Familiarity with standard CMMS systems, estimating tools, and Microsoft Suite.
o Must always be able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
